This tool can assist you to quickly identify occupations of interest and corresponding occupational information (wages, projected annual openings, etc.) that are pertinent to making career choices. Unlike other tools, however, this tool offers additional unique features. Once occupations of interest are identified, you will be able to do the following:

Immediately search www.OhioMeansJobs.com for job openings and
Research a listing of educational programs for selected occupations, as well as schools offering the courses of study.

Youth Employment

Youth ages 16 – 24 with barriers to employment are eligible for Youth Employment programming through CCMEP.

What is CCMEP?
CCMEP is an innovative program that can help low-income young adults build career paths, find employment and
break the cycle of poverty. It offers a wide range of services specifically tailored to each individual.

Who is eligible for CCMEP?
Most low-income young adults ages 14 to 24.

Other Training Resources

In addition to the training classes you’ll find in our Calendar of Events, there are tremendous online resources available for self-paced training.  Classes can be completed in your home, at your public library, or in the OhioMeansJobs Center located at your agency.

GCF Global – Learn Free

GCF Global offers over 200 FREE self-paced online courses on Everyday Life, Math & Money, Computer Training, and Work and Career. There are even Online Classes available where you’ll have a direct line to an instructor through your own private message board.

Learning Express Library

The State Library of Ohio also offers the Learning Express Library where there are several FREE courses and practice tests available for students, computer skills, GED preparation, job search & workplaces skills, and jobs & careers.
